Tasmanian Visitors Survey 2006-09

Tourism Tasmania is a statutory authority established by the Tourism Tasmania Act 1996 to market Tasmania as a desirable tourist destination; to facilitate the sustainable growth of the Tasmanian tourism industry; to support the Tasmanian tourism industry to achieve best practice in delivery of products and services; and to undertake strategic planning for the development and growth of a sustainable tourism industry in Tasmania. Tourism Tasmania utilises a sophisticated approach to the development of knowledge and insight into industry trends and opportunities to inform our role in providing leadership to the development of the tourism industry in Tasmania. A range of data sources are used as part of this process with the Tasmanian Visitor Survey being a primary source of information about visitors to Tasmania from all origins. Tourism Tasmania invites written responses to enter into a contract for the period 1 July 2006 to 30 June 2009 (with 3 one year extension options) from interested research firms who have the capacity to fulfil the following needs: 1.To undertake the following components for the ongoing collection of the Tasmanian Visitor Survey: processing; development; and survey management roles. 2. To provide ongoing development and support in establishing worlds best means of communicating our customer intelligence, knowledge and related insights to our staff and stakeholders with emphasis on industry operators. Interested research firms must address the selection criteria as set out in the Tender Brief.
