Gawler River Floodplain 2016 Flood Clean up Waste Management
Details
Description
Between 28 September and 4 October, 2016 storm events caused significant damage to the Gawler River Floodplain. These floodwaters greatly affected a number of primary industries, namely broadacre and greenhouse production. To enable swift and appropriate clean-up of the affected primary production properties, PIRSA is coordinating waste disposal of approximately 250 properties within the flood scar, covering an area of 1500 hectares. PIRSA is seeking a suitable provider for these services.
The contractor will supply mobile loading systems that can be legally driven on public roads as well as being able to supply ‘on request’ skip bins to be deposited (and picked up when full) on primary production properties where PIRSA has designated their use.
The contractor will be required to deposit the waste at a PIRSA designated waste disposal facility and all work is to be undertaken in accordance with the South Australian Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards and guidelines.
The request is for a quote based on a dollar per hour rate (GST inclusive).
