Existing Armadale Line Station Carpark

The project works entails a comprehensive resurfacing and pavement reconstruction of the existing Armadale Line Station Carparks – Challis Station, Seaforth Station, Sherwood Station, and Kenwick Station, addressing the significant deterioration that has occurred over time. The surface is currently in poor condition, as evident by the presence of numerous potholes that pose safety hazards to vehicles and pedestrians. Additionally, severe cracking and structural failures in the pavement have compromised its durability, while extensive kerb damage has further impacted the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the area. These works aim to restore the car park to a safe, durable state, ensuring it meets modern Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) standards and can withstand future usage demands effectively. The works is required to be scheduled during an approaching period of low patronage, allowing the upgrades to be completed efficiently while reducing the impact on users of the facilities. This timing also addresses the urgent need to fix the car parks before further deterioration occurs.
