Details

Awarded

Description

The proposed car park facility will consist of a ground level plus two deck multi-storey car park at Edgewater station, to increase the number of park-and-ride bays from 836 to approximately 1,360. The total of 1,360 bays includes 388 existing at grade bays to remain and an additional ground level plus two deck facility of 972 bays to be constructed.

The proposed multi-storey car park facility will be a single standalone building nominally located at the southern component of the existing at-grade car park and will be bound by the City of Joondalup carriageway, Mitchell Freeway, existing drainage basin and the existing at-grade car park. The car park facility will have a ground level plus 2 levels of car park decks of approximately 120mx75m in size and will be able to accommodate approximately 290+ car bays per deck. The proposed car park facility is to be an ‘open deck’ car park for the purposes of the BCA to remove the requirement for sprinklers and other means of mechanical ventilation. A dedicated separate entry roadway and a vehicular ramp will be provided at the southern end of the proposed car park facility.
