Description
The Australian Nuclear Research and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) is responsible for delivering specialised advice, scientific services and products to government, industry, academia and other research organisations.
ANSTO currently discharges wastewater via a private pressure main to the Sydney Water wastewater network near Mirang Place, Engadine. The ageing infrastructure is approaching its end of service life and as such as project has been initiated to replace the existing pipeline.
The new private main will replace the existing pipeline and will connect into the maintenance hole located along New Illawarra Road near Lucas Heights Water Reservoir and discharge to the Sydney Water sewer infrastructure at Barden Ridge in the vicinity of Dahua current Development, in accordance with GHD design drawings and specifications. Design and construction of two balance tanks, valves and pipework, connection to the new “domestic” sewer line (Sewer Line A) and overflow connection to the existing holding tank 7.
Works to be completed under this contract include those associated with the Rising Main from ANSTO’s Lucas Heights facility
