Description

The Rural Palliative Care Project is managed by the Australian General Practice Network (AGPN) and funded by the Department of Health and Ageing.The Project aims to increase access to quality palliative care services by:

  • enhancing common understanding of models of rural palliative care services among participating Divisions and key stakeholders, including specialist palliative care services;
  • strengthening the links between palliative care services and mainstream services delivery; and
  • taking into account the broader consumer and community interests

The purpose of this project is to provide an effective framework for the 2010 evaluation of the Rural Palliative Care Program.
