14-002 NDIS Individualised Business Support Consultant

The Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) is seeking to engage a Consultant (an organisation of one or more people) with appropriate qualifications and experience to work one-on-one with approximately 16 vulnerable disability Service Providers as they transition to providing services in a competitive National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) market.

These Service Providers have been identified by the NDIS Reform Directorate DCSI, from discussions held with the Service Providers during early 2013. Most of the Service Providers are located in either the inner or greater metropolitan Adelaide area, but there may be up to five Service Providers in regional locations (Mt Gambier, Pt Augusta and Murray Bridge).

The Consultant will provide individualised business support to enhance the capacity of these Service Providers to be able to deliver individualised services and develop a business model of service delivery that will be more appropriate and sustainable in a competitive NDIS market. The project is intended to reduce the risk of market failure and help retain a diversity of providers in the sector, which is particularly important for regional areas of South Australia.
