South Australian Research and Development Institute
RFT for Analytical Services for detection of Cadmium and Selenium in Prawns
Details
Description
The South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) is conducting an Australia-wide survey of wild-caught prawns in order to assess the industry’s overarching compliance with export requirements in respect to concentrations of cadmium. The survey will also help to inform an assessment of the risks and benefits of Australian prawn consumption.
The project is funded by the Australian Seafood Co-operative Research Centre on behalf of the Australian Council of Prawn Fisheries. This Request for Service calls for analytical laboratory providers to quote for the detection and quantification of the elements cadmium and selenium in prawn tissues.
