A project to be undertaken

Medical Imaging – establishment of a CT service To establish the new CT service, the existing X-ray room will be expanded to enable the CT scanner to be collocated in the same room as the existing X-ray machine. This maintains proximity to the ED and ensures efficiency of the Medical Imaging service through a single-radiographer model. To accommodate the expanded CT and X-ray room and CT control room, there will be displacement of some storage rooms, a patient shower and Clinical Support Officer office. The works include: • New main electrical distribution board to accommodate the increased demand of the CT, and to bring the MSB up to current standards. • Upgrades to existing mechanical services • Revision/additional points need to be added to the existing medical gas services • Additional hydraulic works • Structural works for the Cancer Service Centre extension will be required • Structural works to strengthen the under slab and roof of the extended X-ray and CT Room will be required. Principal Priced Options: PPO #01 – Cancer care - New Single Bedroom with Ensuite Add extension to the existing building to provide a single bedroom with ensuite. PPO#02 – Cancer Care - New Consult Room Internal redesign existing space to create an additional consult room with relocation of the reception and cleaners room. PPO #03 – Use of Jamieson House for contractor amenities
