Description

CSIRO requires an experienced and qualified Mechanical Services Contractor to manage, construct and deliver the electrification of the gas fired primary- and secondary heat source at CSIRO’s Newcastle premises as per the design developed by CSIRO. This design:

(a) uses the two existing lead-lag reversible chillers in heat-pump mode for low-temperature heating-hot-water production, with one new water-to-water heat-pump/s installed in an existing plant room to boost the low-temperature heating hot water (HHW) to a higher temperature to meet existing field terminal device requirements.

(b) Decouples the domestic hot water (DHW) system from the HHW system to a standalone central potable DHW system. The non-potable DHW system will be decommissioned and replaced with instantaneous hot water units at nominated locations.
