Department of Education / Managing Psychosocial Hazards - DOE04880/23

The Department of Education will be seeking the following core program deliverables: 1. Managing psychosocial hazards at work framework – this framework will clearly outline for all levels of the organisation how the department as PCBU manages psychosocial hazards and risks, and the tools and resources that are aligned to the framework. 2. Department wide psychosocial hazard register – this will identify the psychosocial hazards present within education settings, including those general across all workplaces, and those unique to specific settings. 3. Psychosocial Risk Management Plan (department level) – this risk management plan, developed in conjunction with the hazard register will identify the hazards and confirm the elimination / control measures the department, at a systemic level, has in place to mitigate the risk of injury. 4. Psychosocial Risk Management Plan (workplace level) – this risk management plan, developed in conjunction with the hazard register will identify the hazards and confirm the elimination / control measures individual workplaces can implement to mitigate the risk of injury. 5. Return To Work (RTW) Profiles – review and update the department’s existing RTW profiles, a suite of internal case management tools used by injury management advisors in supporting staff returning to work after an injury has occurred. 6. Recommendations on appropriate training and information – as part of the consultation stage of this program, recommendations for the appropriate methods of providing training and information on the new framework and resources based on stakeholder feedback will be required to support the department in developing a training program to accompany the framework
