Description
The scope of work detailed in the ITO document is for the delivery, installation, commissioning, testing and support and maintenance of a Deformable Image Registration Solution for use across MNHHS Cancer Care Radiation Therapy to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of cancer care radiation oncology services. The system will be used at RBWH but also may be used:
- across MNHHS
Future scope may also incorporate other Queensland Health Hospital and Health Services either under separate contracts through transferability clauses or as a service hosted by Metro North Hospital and Health Service
Metro North Hospital and Health Service will highly consider systems exceeding the requirements detailed in this ITO. Metro North Hospital and Health Service will highly consider systems having:
a) Conformance with critical systems engineering principals,
b) Certified conformance to applicable standards (eg. ISO 13485, DICOM, HL7, IHE, HSSP)
c) Evidence of delivery of benefits claimed, be they clinical, financial, consumer or administrative.
The Metro North Hospital and Health Service is seeking Proposals for Deformable Image Registration Solution. It includes all elements required to deliver the business objectives.
To prove the benefits of implementing Deformable software that improves outcomes for patients, clinicians and the Cancer Care service delivery objectives:
- improved accuracy in the delineation of the volume of cancer requiring radiation treatment
- facilitate accurate assessment of total dose delivered during multi-course treatments
- support accuracy, planning and replanning activities
- supports cancer care workflow process
- deliver time savings during the planning process
- reduce short term morbidity and time taken to recover
- reduce radiation exposure to normal tissue
- reduce negative impacts to patients through delivery of bespoke treatments tailor to the individual
- improvement in the safety, efficiency and coordination of radiation therapy services across the continuum of cancer care sites
