Provision of Online Teaching and Learning Resources - Hospitality

Polytechnic West has a requirement for the successful Respondent to provide online teaching and learning resources in the area of Hospitality. The intention is to move from hard copy books to an online resource. This form of media being more accessible at any time and anywhere compared to traditional classroom delivery.
This enables the students to complete their studies and research at a time suitable to them. It will also allow international students, for whom English is a second language to study the learning materials at a slower pace if required. On-line learning is commonly used in the hospitality training Industry and this would support both our apprenticeship and traineeship modes of delivery. The addition of a USB device or CD will support this for those who do not have internet access.
Learning materials supplied by the successful Respondent must meet the requirements and outcomes as prescribed by the SIT12 Training Package for Tourism, Travel and Events and be currently available or have a plan in place for development of any core units required by Polytechnic West. The successful Respondent will also be required to provide any updates at no cost to the training materials should the current SIT12 Training Package change during the term of the contract.
