Description
Clause 39F of the Macquarie Point Development Corporation Act 2012 (Act) requires that redevelopment of land at Macquarie Point cannot occur until an environmental auditor, accredited by the Tasmanian Director of the Environment Protection Authority (EPA), has certified that the land is suitable for redevelopment. Coffey Environments Australia is the only environmental auditor who has been accredited by the Director of the EPA under section 39F of the Act. As such, due to an absence of competition for technical reasons, Coffey Environments Australia is the only suitably qualified consultant who can provide the services.
