Description

The Government of Tasmania announced in the 2007 Budget its intention to sell the Printing Authority of Tasmania (PrintingBusiness). The Printing Business is currently wholly owned by the State of Tasmania. It provides high-quality sheet‑fed and digital colour printing services to Parliament, Government departments and Government-owned businesses on a commercial basis and is recognised as one of the leading printing organisations in Tasmania. The Printing Business generates annual turnover of approximately $8 million and employs some 50 staff. The Printing Business is located in Tasmania, with the digital colour printing services based in Hobart’s Central Business District, and the sheet-fed printing facilities based at the Technopark, an industrial site 10minutes north of Hobart. Parties who have an interest in considering an acquisition of the Printing Business should lodge an expression of interest with the State’s sale adviser as soon as possible and by no later than 4pm AEST on Friday,19 October 2007.
