Description

NSW EPA is seeking a consultant to provide an in-depth analysis and modelling of options to harmonise and integrate the container approval systems that apply in nearly all Australian Container Deposit Schemes (CDSs). NSW EPA is leading an investigation to improve the way that the container approvals system works across all Australian CDSs, specifically by providing a ‘single point of entry’ for all beverage suppliers to interact with CDSs for container approvals. The aim of the project is to reduce the administrative burden on suppliers and jurisdictions of managing container approvals/registrations through an integrated system where suppliers only apply once rather than separately in each jurisdiction.
