Description
Systems Solutions, within the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) requires Business Intelligence and Data Services (BIDS) solutions and related professional services. The provision of the services will provide specialist knowledge for DCSI’s System Solutions (SS) team around the development, implementation and interaction of BIDS technologies.
Business Intelligence is an umbrella term that includes the applications, infrastructure and tools, and best practices that enable access to and analysis of information to improve and optimize decisions and performance. Dashboards and reporting services are common BI tools used within DCSI.
Data Services is defined as resources used to house aggregate data, enabling the data to be accessed for analysis and reporting. Data Warehouses and Data Marts are generalised types of Data Services used within DCSI.
