Description
The Dam safety and surveillance provider appointed to provide the services for this contract will be the main source of technical advice to the NCA on dam safety.
The service provider will ensure that it is fully informed on the safety status of the dam at all times, based on its ongoing evaluation of dam safety data by experienced Dam Safety Engineers, complemented by other technical advise as is required.
The service provider must report routinely to the NCA in relation to ongoing surveillance and be proactive in ensuring that advice on the safety of the dam is provided to the NCA in a timely manner.
Services will be provided in accordance with the requirements of the ANCOLD Guidelines on Dam Safety Management (2003), Guidelines on Risk Assessment (2003), Guidelines on the Consequence Categories for Dams (2012), other relevant ANCOLD guidelines and Australian Standards as appropriate.
