DEVELOPMENT OF ALTERNATIVE APPROACHES TO THE PROVISION OF AFFORDABLE RENTAL ACCOMMODATION

The SA Housing Trust, acting as lead agency for social housing providers, has been examining opportunities to promote alternative approaches to achieving the supply of affordable rental housing in South Australia.

Expressions of interest are sought from organisations and individuals with property management expertise and experience that are interested in: (a) participating in the development and alternative cost effective approaches to supplying affordable rental housing; (b) willing to submit property management proposals in reponse to competitive Request for Proposal processes to implement the pilot and other projects that may arise; (c) developing financing arrangements suitable for long term and secure housing supply (including the raising of private finance to facilitate ownership of the housing by the property managers); and (d) working with tenant groups/individuals that may require support services to assist them achieve good housing outcomes.
