Description

The Australian Government Department of Finance is seeking tenders from suitably qualified firms who are interested in providing international legal services to assist with the sale of Medibank Private Limited (Medibank).

Medibank is a government business enterprise that operates a commercial business in the Australian private health insurance industry. On 26 March 2014, the Finance Minister announced the sale of Medibank via an initial public share offering for 2014-15. The International Legal Adviser/s may be required to provide legal advisory services for institutional and retail share offers in the United States, New Zealand and other relevant overseas jurisdictions.

Following any initial appointment, Finance reserves the right to appoint additional International Legal Advisers, through this tender process or otherwise. To this end tenderers will be required to keep their tenders valid for a period of up to six months.
