Description

The Department of Education (DoE) is seeking a specialist architectural/engineering consultant with state wide coverage to provide advice and assist in the refurbishment and/or establishment of science and/or language laboratories under the Nation Building and Jobs Plan (Building the Education Revolution Program). The appointed consultant will: provide an assessment of the current state of science and/or language laboratories for schools which have lodged applications for funding; advise the DoE Project Assessment Panel appointed to shortlist projects for submission to the Australian Government; on behalf of DoE, prepare applications for submission to the Australian Government using an application template; design and document facilities approved to proceed under the program based on standard templates; and work with the appointed building contractor(s) during the construction phase. Those submitting an application should provide details of experience in building or refurbishing contemporary school science and/or language laboratories.
