Description

DBCA is seeking a suitably qualified Contractor to construct stage 1A of this 5-day walk trail. Stage 1A of the ‘Wiilman Bilya’ walk trail starts at the Karak Trail in Allanson and travels west along Coalfields Highway for 6.2kms to the westside of Hamilton Causeway where it will link to the previously completed Stage 1 of the walk trail.

The works include but are not limited to the following:

  • Construction of approximately 1.2kms of trail through native bushland adjacent to Black Diamond Lake. (No removal of trees is permitted)
  • Construction of approximately 3.2kms of trail through mainly grassed and small vegetation verges along Coalfields Highway
  • Construction of approximately 0.9kms of trail through more heavily vegetated verges including significant trees. (No removal of trees is permitted)
  • Construction of approximately 0.1kms of trail through native bushland adjacent to Hamilton Causeway
  • Construction of approximately 300m of trail across Hamilton Causeway including limestone retaining
  • Construction of a road crossing in Allanson across Coalfields Highway
  • Construction of a drain and stream crossing at the intersection of Rose Road and Coalfields Highway
