Description

The Contract shall include the supply of all plant, equipment, labour and material necessary for the completion of the Works for the dredging of Port Douglas Boat Harbour and entrance channel in accordance with this Specification, Particular and General Conditions of Contract, approval and permit conditions, and the Drawings.

The major items included in the Works are as follows:

1. Establishment of all equipment necessary to carry out the works (including plant required for Acid Sulphate Soil Management Plan – refer EMP);

2. Installation of temporary pipeline approximately 5.5km in length from the dredge areas to dredge disposal facility in accordance with Drawings, Specification, Dredge Management Plan and relevant Statutory Approvals.

3. Dredging of areas A, B & C as detailed on the Drawings down to the nominated design dredge depths

4. Pumping and placement of material to spoil disposal facility

5. Treatment of Acid Sulphate Soils (if required)

6. Removal of temporary pipeline
