Description

DFES requires the replacement of existing Zoll X Series Advanced Monitors/Defibrillators, as the current equipment onboard the Emergency Rescue Helicopter Service (ERHS) is reaching the end of its life cycle. To ensure continuity, familiarity, and operational efficiency, a like-for-like replacement with upgrades to the latest model is necessary. The device must offer both manual and automatic defibrillation to address life-threatening arrhythmias, such as ventricular fibrillation or pulseless ventricular tachycardia. It should also be capable of continuously monitoring key vital signs, including ECG, SpO2, blood pressure, and other critical parameters in real-time, providing a comprehensive overview of the patient's condition. Additionally, the machine must include the ability to perform a 12-lead ECG for detailed heart monitoring. Inclusion of real-time feedback on CPR compression depth and rate to ensure high-quality CPR during resuscitation efforts. The device should also support wireless transmission of patient data to hospitals for seamless communication and coordinated care. Lastly, the device must have an intuitive touchscreen interface and be designed to be rugged and portable, making it suitable for aeromedical use.
