Yarwun State School - Block E Refurbishment (D and C)

The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a classroom refurbishment of Block E at Yarwun State School, located at 35 Butler Street, Yarwun QLD 4694, as part of the School Infrastructure Enhancement (SIE) program.

The refurbishment includes new joinery, flooring, painting, fittings as well as enclosing part of the external veranda to create additional storage in Block E. The position of the building is at the front of the school with easy site access and working space. All works are to be completed by the end of January 2022 as this classroom space is needed for start of school 2022.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1 Million

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
