Description

The Department of Economic Development is inviting tenders from appropriately qualified and experienced consultants to undertake a strategic land use and development study for the Seven Mile Peninsula. The study area is a parcel of Crown Land of approximately 900 hectares. It is located in southern Tasmania, in the municipality of Clarence on the eastern shore of the Derwent River, approximately 25 kilometres east of Hobart. The aim of the study is to provide the Tasmanian Government with a contemporary strategic vision that will assist in the future planning and policy development for the Seven Mile Peninsula. The study will provide a framework for decisions about the future management and use of the area. A comprehensive consultation program with community and key stakeholders is expected in the development of the study.
