Tunnel Boring Specialist for the Forrestfield Airport Link

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) requires a Tunnel Boring Specialist to provide expertise to the Forrestfield-Airport Link project (FAL) during the procurement and delivery phases of the project. The Tunnel Boring Specialist is required to have extensive local and international experience in bored tunnelling projects, specifically in soft ground conditions such as the ground and groundwater conditions of the Perth Coastal Plain. Advice and activities conducted under this contract shall be under direction of the PTA Geotechnical and Tunnelling Manager. The consultant will provide a combination of in-house support at the Forrestfield-Airport link project office and external technical advice from their place of residence.

The Tunnel Boring Specialist will be required to provide expertise and support to the FAL project team on geotechnical and tunnelling aspects of the FAL in general, during the procurement stage for engagement of the contractor, during the construction and delivery stage of the project and to conduct other relevant tasks as reasonably required and directed.
