Description
The South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI), a group of the Department of Primary Industries and Resources, has bred two new annual medic cultivars. Cavalier (RD02/0073) is a mid-maturing, annual spineless burr medic variety with reduced levels of hardseededness and high herbage and seed production. Scimitar (RD02/0040) is an early-to-mid maturing variety with reduced levels of hardseededness and high herbage and seed production. SARDI is seeking to licence an experienced party or parties to produce, distribute and market seed of these new cultivars.
