TENDERS FOR FIREBREAK MAINTENANCE WORK

TENDERS will be received at the office of the General Manager, ForestrySA, South East Forestry Office, PO Box 162, Mount Gambier, SA 5290 (Jubilee Highway East, Mount Gambier) for firebreak maintenance work (slashing and ploughing). A ‘Panel Contract’ process will be used to establish contract agreements for firebreak maintenance work over the next three years (November-December, 2000 to November-December 2002 inclusive). Tenders received will be considered for: 1) inclusion on the ‘Panel’ or, 2) inclusion on the ‘Panel’ and awarded the November-December 2000 program. Per annum ForestrySA’s firebreak maintenance program involves around 900 ha of slashing and approximately 600 km of ploughing. The November to December 2000 program will involve approximately 900 ha of slashing and 550 km of ploughing.
