A4446 Land 17 Phase 1A Infrastructure Project - Gallipoli Barracks Brisbane Queensland

Registrations of Interest are invited from suitably qualified entities to undertake the role of Head Contractor for certain works on the basis described in the Invitation to Register Interest. The Commonwealth will then create a shortlist from which it will invite tenders for the works.

The Project involves the construction of new facilities and supporting infrastructure for the 1^st Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery at Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera.

At the time of issuing this Invitation to Register Interest,the works include the following:

(a)New Battery Headquarters building to accommodate A, 104, 105 and 114 Batteries including office accommodation, operations rooms and storage facilities;

(b)New gun storage hangars to securely store the new M777A2 gun including gun maintenance facilities;

(c)New vehicle storage bays; and

(d)Upgrades to existing engineering services including connection to new services.

·the works are anticipated to commence in April 2012 completion on or before August 2013;

·the estimated value of the works is $ 20 to $25 million.

To submit a conforming Registration of Interest:

·the Registration of Interest must be submitted in accordance with clause 3.1(a)(i) (including submission to the address specified in the Invitation to Register Interest by the closing time and date described in the Invitation to Register Interest);

·the Registration of Interest must satisfy each minimum form and content requirement in clause 3.1(a)(ii); and

·the Applicant must satisfy each condition for participation in clause 3.1(a)(iii),of the Invitation to Register Interest.

·The evaluation criteria are described in clause 2 of the Invitation to Register Interest.Further information, including how to obtain a copy of the Invitation to Register Interest, is available from AusTender, the Australian Government's tender website, located at www.tenders.gov.au.

The National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry and the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines for the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry August 2009, apply to this project.

The Australian Government Fair Work Principles apply to this procurement.

The Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme authorised by the Building and Construction Industry Improvement Act 2005 (Cth) and the Building and Construction Industry Improvement (Accreditation Scheme) Regulations 2005 (Cth) applies to this contract.

Please note that the works and the project described in the Invitation to Register Interest are subject to the Public Works Committee Act 1969 (Cth).
