Provision of a Multi Function Print Solution and Associated Services

The purpose of this Request is to acquire a Multi Function Print Solution to replace the Department of Mines and Petroleum’s (DMP) fleet of multi-function devices and associated services.
Note: The DMP also provides machines for the Department of State Development (DSD). Wherever DMP appears in this Request it refers to both DMP and DSD. Separate contracts will be awarded.
The DMP is open to exploring various options both within the terms of the Common Use Arrangement CUA 25307 and other supply models e.g. fully managed service.
Respondents may submit proposals for any solution or combination of solutions; however, it is the Department of Mines and Petroleum’s (DMP’s) preference that a single supplier provide the total solution.
Respondents should note that more than one solution can be submitted.
DMP has in place around 60 multi-function devices which are coming towards the end of their working lives. It is planned to replace these with a new standardised model in one deployment mid-late 2011.
Currently DMP employs a number of cost reduction measures such as duplex printing, defaulting to black and white and standardised machines and wishes to continue down this path by replacing its current solution with a similarly flexible, sustainable, cost efficient and reliable solution.
The DMP provides IT services to both internal staff and the Department of State Services across a total of 4 metro and 13 regional offices.
