Remote Tunnel Monitoring System for the Perth City Link Rail Project

The Public Transport Authority of WA (PTA) requires remote in-tunnel monitoring systems to be designed, supplied, installed, commissioned, operated, maintained, reported, decommissioned, dismantled and eventually removed in active rail tunnels Tunnel 2 (T2) and Tunnel 4 (T4) on the Joondalup Line, extending northwards from the Perth Underground Station (PUG) on William Street. The lengths of these existing bored tunnels over which monitoring is required are approximately 280m extending from the northern wall of the PUG to the start of the Joondalup Lines Dive structure, in Perth Rail Yard.

PTA requires the services of an experienced tunnel monitoring contractor (the Monitoring Contractor) to implement a crack and lining deformation monitoring system that initially is to provide baseline data for 12 months prior to the Perth City Link - Rail project construction commencing, then during the Perth City Link -Rail and -Bus Projects and beyond, over an envisaged total period of 8 years.
