Description

The Department of Defence requires a provider to conduct initial employment training to prepare select RAAF and Australian Public Service (APS) personnel for duty in Air Force Improvement (AFI) consultancy teams. AFI provides an internal business improvement consultancy service to Air Force Commanders to lead change and improve organisational performance, based on rigorous analysis and innovative recommendations.

Air Force has recently established an Improvement program to develop a system of continuous improvement which will identify and implement initiatives that reduce the overtasking of Air Force people, optimise the use of available ressources and create the capacity to enable the introduction of new capabilities.

The initial employment training is required to bring all new consultants to a standard basic level of expertise prior to the commencment of their first project. The initial training should be dekivered over a period of four-six weeks, and must address the following areas:

·professional communication;

·concise business writing;

·organisational behaviour;

·organisational analysis and diagnosis;

·research methods (including statistical research);

·project management;

·change management; and

·process improvement.

The contract would be for an initial period of three years.
