PROJ000185 Cooling Tower Refurbishment

Melbourne Arts Precinct Corporation (MAP Co) (Organisation) is a state business corporation established by the Victorian Government under the State-Owned Enterprise Act 1992 and operating since July 2022. The Minister for Creative Industries is the relevant Minister for MAP Co, and the Treasurer is the sole shareholder.

MAP Co has responsibility for the operations, programming promotion and maintenance of Federation Square. MAP Co also oversees the delivery of the $1.7 billion Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation Project.

The Organisation is issuing this tender for the provision of Goods and/or Services at Federation Square as outlined below:

• Undertake refurbishment of Cooling Tower internal surfaces, to address any current wear and tear, and to repair any leaks.
• Replace/re-apply sealant, for all cooling tower panel seals.
• Replace where needed, the cooling tower fill pack and drift eliminators.
• Replace where needed, internal piping and cooling tower spray nozzles.
• Replace ball float assemblies and make up water valves.
• Where required, undertake mechanical services parts replacement. This may include replacement of fan motor and bearings, belts, and pulleys.
• Replace deteriorated cooling tower overflow piping.
• In addition to the main tender package for the refurbishment of the Cooling Towers, Contractors are asked to provide pricing for the upgrade / replacement of the Cooling Tower Dosing System. The responses received for the Dosing System may be assessed as part of the larger tender package, or assessed under a separate evaluation to the refurbishment works.
