Description
The RAAF Base Edinburgh Redevelopment Stage 2 project comprises two works packages:
(a)AZ4572 - Head Contract Package 1 (HCP1) – Civil Works; and
(b)AZ4573 - Head Contract Package 2 (HCP2) – Building Works. This HCP2 works package is the subject of a separate advertisement and Invitation to Register Interest process.
This AZ4572 – Head Contract Package 1 (HCP1) - Civil Works will involve the construction of two new Ordnance Loading Aprons, provision of Passive Defence measures and an Infrastructure Services Upgrade.
Construction is expected to commence from November 2009.
The total value of HCP1 - Civil Works is estimated to be in the order of$35 - $40 million.
The Invitation to Register Interest document will be available from 16 June 2009.Copies of the Invitation to Register Interest documents are available from and any enquiries regarding the Invitation to Register Interest document should be directed to the ITR Administrator, Mr John Craven of Thinc Projects by fax on [phone hidden]. An Applicant must submit its Registration of Interest:
(a)by lodging it:
(i)in the tender box located at:

(ii) by 12.00pm noon (AEST)on Thursday 16 July 2009;
(b)in accordance with the conditions of participation (if any) specified below;
None stated; and
(c)otherwise in accordance with the requirements of clause 3.1(a) of the Invitation to Register Interest document.
Tenders will be invited from a short list of entities selected on the basis described in the Invitation to Register Interest document.
The National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry and the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines for the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry, reissued June 2006, apply to this project.
The Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme authorised by the Building and Construction Industry Improvement Act 2005 (Cth) and the Building and Construction Industry Improvement (Accreditation Scheme) Regulations 2005 (Cth) applies to this contract.
