System Information Modelling (SIM) Enterprise Solution

To ensure the rail infrastructure is maintained to a world class standard, asset managers require precise scaled drawings of an object, specification and other related information. Traditionally, engineers utilise Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to prepare the drawings. This approach requires manual verification of each element within the drawing/s which is time consuming and increases the error rate. As such, the industry has evolved into using System Information Modelling (SIM) to design complex power, control, IT and communication systems.

The objective of this tender is to achieve a service transformation where the as-built documents (technical drawings and related documents) are prepared using an all-inclusive SIM application. Furthermore, the PTA requires the Contractor to provide holistic support services which includes System Upgrades, Maintenance, Help desk services, data storage and initial customer training.
