Description
Provide evaluation services for the Tasmanian HealthConnect Trial. HealthConnect is a proposal for an Australian wide electronic health records system aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of health information. The evaluation will involve a range of data collection, analysis and reporting activities of both a qualitative and quantitative nature. The Tasmanian Trial will involve adults with diabetes from the Clarence municipality, their general practitioners, the Royal Hobart Hospital and Hobart Pathology. The Tasmanian Trial forms a key plank in the overall national HealthConnect research and evaluation effort, as one of only two trials to test the HealthConnect concept in 2002/3.
