Fire Pumps and Tanks at Dandenong Hospital

The key deliverable of this tender is the provision of new Fire Pumps and Tanks. This installation shall provide compliance operating pressure and flow to all fire hydrants and fire sprinkler systems throughout the Dandenong Hospital.

The project will include the following new installations:

• Existing Connection into the existing Potable water supply fed from the 900 dia authority main in Cleeland Street, extended to the fire tanks
• 2 x 30,000 L Fire Tanks
• Diesel & Electric Combined duty Fire Pumps
• Extension from the new fire pumps discharge to the soon to be completed Fire ring main
• Replacement of the existing Fire Booster facing David Street
• Testing and modification of existing water supply isolation and check valves that connect into the fire ring main at Cleeland Street tapping to ensure that compliant pump by-pass is provided at this point.
• Valve Monitors, pump status monitors, tank water level monitoring
• Provision of new power to the new fire pumps (by electrical trade)
• Provision of new structural slab and civil works to support the new fire tanks and pumps (by builder).
• New drainage for tank overflow.

The contractor will be responsible for the overall build and commission of the project and shall be in keeping with the details provided in this specification. The fire protection contractor shall be appointed by a head contractor, and shall co-ordinate the installation with this contractor and work to their delivery programme.
