CQHHS Rockhampton Hospital Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit

The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for a D&C Building Contractor for the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) Rockhampton Hospital Adult Mental Haelth Inpatient Unit.

The new significant expansion and refurbishment includes a total bed number of 32 consisting of general acute beds and 7 high dependency beds. The scope of this project features:

• A new 32-bed acute mental health facility including 7 high dependency beds.
• Decommissioning the existing high dependency unit and low dependency unit, no longer fit for purpose.
• A refurbished clinical administration and support unit in the existing acute mental health unit and additional support spaces.
• Staff and visitor car parking.
• Increased capacity by 9 additional beds
• Co-located therapy spaces
• A generally Australian Health Facility Guidelines (AHFG) compliant facility
• Care support close to inpatient beds
• Support system upgrades.
