Queensland Rail Limited
QRP-17-51 Design Rockhampton, Bundaberg and Maryborough West Stations Accessibility Upgrade
Details
Description
Queensland Rail is committed to connecting communities through a modern, world-class rail service by providing a safe, reliable, on-time, value for money and customer focused rail service that benefits the community, supports industry and is integrated with the public transport system.
Queensland Rail is undertaking a Regional Station Accessibility Upgrade Program which involves undertaking works to upgrade facilities and access arrangements at stations across the regional network. The program seeks to deliver independent access to stations and associated platforms via pathways, and ramps without reliance upon stair only access.
In September 2018, an accessibility audit was conducted on 13 Travel and Tourism stations. The recommendations from this audit outlined a number of upgrades to platforms plus back of house.
This Tender is for a Design Consultancy for Rockhampton, Bundaberg and Maryborough West. The Contract will be a Consultancy Services Agreement.
In December 2018, Queensland Rail introduced a Contractor Safety and Environment Management (CSEM) Process to develop and deliver a best practice Contractor Safety Management Process for Queensland Rail to combat the spike in the number of high potential incidents involving contractors. The Dakabin Station Accessibility Upgrade works and subsequent contractors are required to comply with this new process. Refer to the attached Pre-Qualification Process and the webpage below for further information on the CSEM Program:
