Standing Offer Arrangement for Manufacturing Benchmarking Services

The Department of Regional Development and Manufacturing (the department) is seeking to form a Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) for manufacturing benchmarking services.

The department is committed to support the development of Queensland’s manufacturing sector. The Advanced Manufacturing 10-year Roadmap and Action Plan contains a number of actions to develop the sector.

Access to a benchmarking service is considered important to assist manufacturers gauge their businesses against national and global standards, and understand their opportunities to further develop their business.

Industry 4.0 processes and practices are critical to develop an advanced manufacturing industry in Queensland that is sustainable and globally connected.

The department invites offers from the market to provide benchmarking services to approved manufacturing businesses in Queensland through the department on an on-demand basis for the term of the SOA.

The department’s objective is to be able to provide, through a SOA, benchmarking products which:
• can be delivered to businesses across Queensland, regardless of location
• are particularly suited to the manufacturing sector
• take account of the need to incorporate Industry 4.0 adoption
• provide manufacturing businesses with an understanding of their current state and an action plan for improvements.
