Army Aviation Training and Training Support (AATS)

The activities tendered include: ? non-tactical flying training at Oakey, principally the Helicopter Conversion Course (on Kiowa) and the Black Hawk Type Transition Course; ? non-military maintenance training at Oakey, principally the Black Hawk Airframe/Engine Course, the Black Hawk Avionics Course and Black Hawk Technician Phase One On-Job-Training; ? selected helicopter flying training courseware support; ? selected maintenance training courseware support; ? operator level maintenance of the Army Aviation Training Centre?s fleet of twenty-four (24) Kiowa helicopters at Oakey; ? operator level maintenance of the Army Aviation Training Centre?s fleet of six (6) plus Black Hawk helicopters at Oakey; ? the provision of a contractor owned/leased training support helicopter and pilot(s) and one loadmaster instructor to support the Loadmaster Rotary Wing Basic Course, the Loadmaster Instructor Rotary Wing Basic Course and related courses at Oakey; ? the provision of a contractor owned/leased crash response helicopter (CRH), pilot(s) and loadmaster(s) to support the Army Aviation Centre?s daytime crash response capability at Oakey; and ? the provision of manpower in Darwin, Townsville and Oakey to support helicopter maintenance in operational units. The indicative Contract start-up date is 27 Mar 2007. It is intended that the contract term will be for five years, with the possibility of up to five years of extensions. The Australian Defence Force intends to issue an RFT for the AATTS activity on 09 Jun 2006.
