Description
The Department of Education and Training (DET) is seeking Expressions of Interest in providing residential based education and training programs, on the site of the Burdekin Agricultural College, for the re-engagement of young people who are, or at risk of not participating in education and training. Expressions of Interest are being sought from Respondents with expertise and experience in delivering high quality residential education and training programs for disengaged young people. To be eligible to submit a response to the Expression of Interest, a Respondent must be either:
1. A governing body under the Education (Accreditation of Non-State Schools) Act 2001:
(a) of a non-State school accredited for secondary education (year 8 to year 12, both inclusive) under that Act; and
(b) which has Government-funding eligibility under that Act for that school for year 8 to year 12, both inclusive.
2. A corporation of a kind which is eligible to apply under the Education (Accreditation of Non-State Schools) Act 2001:
(a) for the accreditation of a non-State school to offer secondary education (year 8 to year 12, both inclusive) under that Act; and
(b) to be eligible for Government funding under that Act for that school for year 8 to year 12, both inclusive.
