Description

The Department of Transport and Main Roads – Maritime Safety Queensland invites Offers from suitability qualified persons to carry out the work of catching sharks by using baited drum lines off the Queensland coast in the waters adjacent to Capricorn Coast near Yeppoon. Officers of the Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol (QBFP), Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) – Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ) will supervise and direct the operation.

The Shark Control Program provides a safer swimming environment for residents and tourists at popular Queensland’s beaches and has been a public initiative of Government in Queensland since 1962.
