Description
It is the general purpose of the assurance program to establish appropriate measures which ensure that the practices of nominated agencies take account of risk in accordance with the ISO 31000 framework for the conduct of prescribed fire and other bushfire risk treatment activities.
The assurance program assesses the systems and procedures through which the agency concerned is authorised by OBRM to conduct prescribed burning and other bushfire hazard management activities. It is a specific purpose of the assurance program to facilitate resolution of any issues arising as expeditiously as possible.
