NGN - Co-ordination and delivery of NVT field walks in the Northern region

Growers at the Goondiwindi NGN expressed that the have not had access to the local NVT sites via field days or walks and wanted greater exposure of sites and extension opportunities that arise from them such as guest speakers on locally relevant topics.

Outcome:

The outcome of the investment is that growers in the South West Region surrounding Goondiwindi will have access to the NVT field sites. The opportunity will enable them to talk with seed suppliers and the ability to hear from relevant researchers on key topics for the area, for them to make more informed decisions particularly around variety and variety specific agronomic management.

Description:

Co-ordinate the delivery of 5 NVT field walks per annum across the Border Rivers/Goondiwindi region, the area covers to Westmar in the north, North Star/Croppa Creek in the south, Yelarbon in the east and Nindigully in the west.
