ATTORNEY-GENERAL'S DEPARTMENT (AGD) FITOUT LEVELS 3, 5 AND 6, 45 PIRIE STREET

Registrations of interest are invited from Department for Administrative and Information Services (DAIS) Prequalified General Building Contractors in Category 3. The works described below will be tendered as a lump sum contract. The proposed works involve the fitout of level 3 and fitout of part of level 5 and 6 at 45 Pirie Street, being carried out concurrently between September and December 2000. Please note parts of Levels 5 and 6 will be continuously occupied by AGD staff, during the contract period. The fitout works include the demolition of existing partitions and doors on levels 5 and 6. The provision of new enclosed partition offices, meeting rooms, conference rooms and interview rooms. The engineering services include data / communications, power, modifications to lighting, security, fire protection, hydraulics and mechanical. The total project budget is $1.6M The successful contractor will be required to liase and coordinate with a separate contractor engaged for the supply and installation of the system furniture component of the works. Registrations shall be assessed on the project specific responses received to the following criteria:  details of fitout projects valued between $1M and $2M completed in SA Government buildings within the past three years with nominated referees;  evidence of ability to work in and interface with an occupied and operational environment;  evidence of ability to complete fitout projects within a defined program;  evidence of ability to successfully manage a team of subcontractors;  proposed key personnel to undertake the fitout works with curriculum vitae;  methodology for undertaking defects rectification in a timely manner;  methodology for co-ordinating with the separate systems furniture contractor. A short list will be determined from the Registration of Interest responses received. No registration will necessarily be accepted.
