Rockingham Lot 92 Crompton Road Detailed Site Investigation

Background Lot 92 Crompton Road Rockingham (the site) covers an area of disused railway corridor. A business located at Lot 100 Crompton Road has accessed the site over a number of years, using it for storage of machinery and assorted material, and spreading uncharacterised fill. A Preliminary Site Investigation (PSI) was undertaken which concluded that the unauthorised use of the site had resulted in the potential for unacceptable risks to human and/or ecological receptors and recommended the development of a Sampling and Analysis Quality Plan (SAQP) to guide a Detailed Site Investigation (DSI). A SAQP was subsequently developed. Scope of Services The PTA seeks the provision of Services, including (but not limited to): Conduct a DSI in line with the guidance of the provided SAQP and provide a DSI report in accordance with the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) guideline ?Assessment and management of contaminated sites?. A draft report must be submitted to the PTA for review, and a final report issued taking account of any questions or issues raised by the PTA.Provisionally, if authorised by PTA, install, and survey Groundwater Monitoring Wells, and undertake a groundwater monitoring event to determine groundwater quality.Provisionally, if authorised by PTA, develop a Remediation Action Plan (RAP) to guide any remediation required to reduce risks posed by contamination to acceptable levels.
