Description
The Department of Defence principally through the Defence Science and Technology Division, applies science and technology to protect and defend and its national interests.Intellectual property developed through this process may require protection in and overseas, generally in the form of patent applications, although other forms of intellectual property protection may be required. The Department of Defence currently procures the services of Australian patent attorney firms to provide advice and services relating to the prosecution of the Defence patent portfolio and other forms of intellectual property protection. The Department of Defence is seeking to establish a panel of qualified patent attorney firms to carry out patent attorney services in support of this requirement.
