Description
The Department of Defence develops, tests and deploys High Frequency (HF) components and systems in support of Australia’s HF Radar program.This involves extensive laboratory based development and testing, as well as field trials.
The Department of Defence requires the services of a technical officer with substantial experience in logistical and technical support for sophisticated remote field trials and complex experiments, as well as a solid understanding of the hardware used in HF radio and radar applications.
The HF Radar program includes a Next Generation Over-The-Horizon Radar component aimed at developing and demonstrating advanced concepts that are expected to deliver major capabilities improvements to the Australian Defence Organisation.This requires the Department of Defence to develop and test a number of HF components and systems that are subject to demanding performance and/or cost requirements.
